Char Dham Yatra - 11 Nights / 12 Days

Delhi - Haridwar - Barkot - Yamnotri - Harsil - Gangotri - Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Joshimath - Badrinath -
Haridwar - Delhi

The four close-knit pilgrimages of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath are known as small Char Dham circuit. Visited by millions of hindu devotees every year, this pilgrimage circuit is based on the cool Himalayan terrain and offers a spiritual sojourn and trekking for 12 days in the god's land of Uttarakhand.

India Char Dham YatraDay 01. Delhi - Haridwar (Drive 210 Km / 4 -5 Hrs)

Arrive Delhi and transfer to Haridwar (option train / road). On arrival in Haridwar, check into hotel. Evening is free at leisure or visit Har-ki-Pauri, the famous Ganges Ghats in the city. In the evening, these ghats come to life with the splendid evening Aarti. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02. Haridwar - Mussoorie - Barkot (Drive 230 Km / 7 - 8 Hrs)

Depart from Haridwar early morning and take lunch on the way to Mussoorie. After lunch, resume the journey and reach Barkot in the evening after visiting Kempty Falls. These falls are the iconic attraction of Mussoorie hill station tour. On arrival in Barkot, check in the camp resort for overnight stay.

Day 03. Barkot -Yamnotri – Barkot (Drive 32 Km / trek 14 km round)

After an early breakfast, leave for Hanuman Chatti (Drive 32 Km) to start the journey. Take a local jeep to reach Phool Chatti and shorten the trek by 5 km. On arrival here, start the day on a tough trek of 7 km one side. Arrive at Yamunotri, the holy origin site of River Yamuna and pray at the temple and also take a holy Achman with the waters of the holy river to begin the most sacred pilgrimage to Char Dham. Come back to Phool Chatti in the evening and return to the camp resort for dinner and relaxation with Ayurvedic Massage at the resort. Overnight at camp resort.

Day 04. Barkot – Harsil (Drive 152 Km / 6 -7 Hrs)

After a relaxed breakfast, check out Barkot for Harsil after a drive of 152 km. Enroute stopover at Uttarkashi for lunch. Also stop at Gangnani for hot water spring dip. This is also a perfect site for meditation. Resume the journey to reach Harsil, one of the most beautiful valleys in Uttarakhand and reach the camp set amidst an apple orchard in Dharali village 2 km away from Harsil cantonment. On arrival, check in for dinner and overnight. Evening Ganga Aarti at camp. Day 05. Harsi - Gangotri - Harsi (Drive 22 Km)

India Char Dham YatraAfter breakfast, leave for Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the sacred River Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and later relax for sometime in the lovely surroundings. Return to the camp resort in the afternoon and relax at the bright sunshine and some of breathtaking views of the valleys. In the evening, perform the Ganga Aarti at resorts' own river bank. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 06. Harsi – Guptkashi (Drive 283 Km 9 -10 Hrs)

After a very early breakfast, leave Harsi for the longest journey of the Chotta Char Dham on the road. Late lunch at Srinagar enroute. On the way, visit the heritage city of Tehri. After lunch, resume the journey and today for the first time witness the beautiful River Mandakini. Travel along this to reach Guptkashi late in the evening. On arrival check in the camp (Guptkashi) located 2 Km out of town towards Gaurikund. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 07. Guptkashi - Kedarnath (Drive 32 Km / trek 14 Km)

After breakfast, pick up the packed lunch and leave for Gaurikund (a 32 Km drive single side). Upon reaching here, begin the tough trek ahead. Stop for the lunch en route and resume the trek. Reach arrive by late afternoon. On arrival, check in the tent / ashram. After freshening up here, perform the sacred rituals here / pooja and also Darshan at the Shri Kedarnathji. In the evening, also visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi at the back of the temple. Dinner and overnight at ashram.

Day 08. Kedarnath - Guptkashi (Drive 32 Km / Trek 14 Km)

After breakfast, start the trek back to Gaurikund and on arrival leave for Guptkashi by road to reach the camp by evening. Relax the exerted muscles with and Ayurvedic Massage. Dinner and overnight at resort.

Day 09. Guptkashi - Joshimath via CHOPTA (Drive 175 Km / 6 -7 Hrs)

After breakfast leave for Joshimath via Chopta, one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through the thick medicinal forest and stop at Pipalkoti for lunch. Arrive at the resort in Joshimath by late afternoon. Evening is free in Joshimath. Dinner and overnight at resort.

Day 10. Joshimath - Badrinath - Joshimath (Drive 90 Km)

India Char DhamAfter breakfast, leave for Shri Badrinath ji. This is also the part of main Char Dham Pilgrimage. On arrival, continue the journey with the holy Darshan and spend time visiting Mana, the last village before the Tibet border. Come back to the Hotel / Tent for dinner and overnight.

Day 11. Joshimath - Srinagar - Haridwar (Drive 274 Km / 9 -10 Hrs)

After breakfast, leave for Haridwar and on the way take lunch at Srinagar. Restart the journey here and if time permits visit Devprayag (The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, to become Ganga). Reach Haridwar in the evening and check in at Hotel.

Day 12 . Haridwar - Delhi (222 Km / 6 hrs)

After breakfast leave for Delhi. Upon arriving here, transfer to airport in time for onward destination.
